di·flu·ni·sal (di-flooґnĭ-səl) [USP] a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug derived from salicylic acid, having analgesic activity but lacking antipyretic activity; used in the treatment of rheumatic disorders, acute attacks of gout or calcium pyrophosphate deposition disease, dysmenorrhea, and pain associated with various nonrheumatic inflammatory conditions or vascular headaches.
