phosphodiesterases

phosphodiesterases
Enzymes (EC 3.1.4.x) cleaving phosphodiester bonds, such as those in cAMP or between nucleotides in nucleic acid s, liberating smaller poly- or oligonucleotide units or mononucleotides but not orthophosphate. SYN: phosphodiester hydrolases.
- spleen p. SYN: micrococcal endonuclease.
