ul·na 'əl-nə n, pl ul·nae -nē or ul·nas the bone on the little-finger side of the human forearm that forms with the humerus the elbow joint and serves as a pivot in rotation of the hand

the inner and longer bone of the forearm. It articulates with the humerus and radius above and with the radius and indirectly with the wrist bones below. At its upper end is the olecranon process and coronoid process; at the lower end is a cone-shaped styloid process.

ul·na (ulґnə) pl. ulґnae [L. “the arm”] [TA] the inner and larger bone of the forearm, on the side opposite that of the thumb; it articulates with the humerus and with the head of the radius at its proximal end and with the radius and bones of the carpus at the distal end.
