Krau·se's corpuscle 'krau̇-zəz- n any of various rounded sensory end organs occurring in mucous membranes (as of the conjunctiva or genitals) called also corpuscle of Krause
Krause Wilhelm Johann Friedrich (1833-1910)
German anatomist. A professor of anatomy at several German universities, Krause published a handbook of human anatomy and a treatise on end organs of motor nerves. Krause's corpuscle was described for the first time in 1860.
