phyl·lo·er·y·thrin (fil″o-erґĭ-thrin) a derivative of chlorophyll formed in the intestinal canal of ruminant animals and found also in their bile. In cases of hepatic insufficiency it may accumulate in the tissues and cause photosensitization (see yellows).
