localized myxedema associated with hyperthyroidism and exophthalmos, typically found on the anterior (pretibial) surface of the legs; the mucin deposits appearing as both plaques and papules. Called also Graves, infiltrative, or thyroid dermopathy and circumscribed or nodular m.
