Price-Jones curve 'prīs-'jōnz- n a graph of the frequency distribution of the diameters of red blood cells in a sample that has been smeared, stained, and magnified for direct observation and counting
Price-Jones Cecil (1863-1943)
British hematologist. Price-Jones developed in 1910 a method for the direct measurement of the diameters of red blood cells and for the recording of the results in the form of a graph that expressed their distribution in a stained sample. In 1924 he reported on anisocytosis in cases of pernicious anemia, and he published a study of the diameters of red blood cells in 1933.
