semi·quan·ti·ta·tive (sem″e-kwahnґtĭ-ta″tiv) denoting a test that is more specific than a qualitative test (a positive or negative result) but less so than a quantitative test (a numerical result), usually referring to a test in which results are scored on an arbitrary scale, e.g., 0 to ++++.
