steph·a·no·fi·la·ri·a·sis (stef″ə-no-fil″ə-riґə-sis) a chronic skin disease of cattle in certain parts of the United States, due to infestation with the nematode Stephanofilaria stilesi; called also filarial or verminous dermatitis and stephanofilarosis.
