Commission for Health Improvement

Commission for Health Improvement
an independent inspectorate, covering England and Wales, that was set up in 1999 to ensure that government standards set through its health policies, national service frameworks, and the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) are being met. It has the power to carry out or assist in investigations into serious service failings.
