Health Service Commissioner

Health Service Commissioner
an official responsible to Parliament and appointed to protect the interests of patients in relation to administration of and provision of health care by the National Health Service. He can investigate complaints and allegations of maladministration by a Health Authority or trust and also complaints about GPs, dentists, pharmacists, and opticians (including actions arising from clinical judgment of practitioners).
