nasopharyngeal angiofibroma a benign tumor of the nasopharynx composed of fibrous connective tissue with abundant endothelium-lined vascular spaces, usually occurring during puberty in boys. Nasal obstruction may become total, with hyponasality, discomfort in swallowing, auditory tube obstruction, and massive epistaxis.
