tribasic calcium phosphate
the compound Ca3(PO4)2, true tribasic calcium phosphate, a rarely occurring form. It occurs in nature as whitlockite. [NF] an amorphous variable mixture of calcium phosphates with approximate formula (Ca3(PO4)2)3·Ca(OH)2 (see hydroxyapatite), used as a calcium supplement.
