clo·dro·nate disodium (klo-droґnāt) the disodium salt of clodronic acid; a diphosphonate calcium-regulating agent that inhibits bone resorption and is used to treat osteitis deformans and hypercalcemia related to malignancy. Administered orally or intravenously.
