Clostridiaceae
Clos·tri·di·a·ceae (klos-trid″e-aґse-e) a family of bacteria of the order Clostridiales, consisting of anaerobic organisms that vary widely in morphology, physiology, and metabolism, grouped together on the basis of 16S rRNA sequence analysis. Organisms of medical interest are included in the genera Acetivibrio, Clostridium, and Sarcina.
