radiation colitis
colitis resulting from radiation therapy to the abdominal region, marked by tenesmus, pain, rectal bleeding, diarrhea, and telangiectasis, which may progress to malabsorption, ulceration, and partial or complete obstruction. Called also irradiation c. and radiation enteritis.
