columna intermedia medullae spinalis
[TA] intermediate column of spinal cord: the lateral portion of the gray matter of the spinal cord (see columnae griseae medullae spinalis), extending from the second thoracic to the first lumbar segment of the spinal cord; in transverse section it is seen as a horn (cornu laterale medullae spinalis). Called also intermediate zone of spinal cord and lateral column of spinal cord.
