chopped meat broth
a liquid medium containing chopped meat treated with sodium hydroxide, casein digest, yeast extract, phosphate buffer, and cysteine; it may also include hemin, vitamin K1, glucose, and resazurin. It is used for the cultivation of anaerobic bacteria, especially Clostridium species. Called also CM b.
