Tindale agar

Tindale agar
a base composed of proteose-peptone, sodium chloride, and agar to which is added an enrichment of bovine serum, L-cystine, sodium thiosulfate, and potassium tellurite; used to detect Corynebacterium diphtheriae, which form grayish-black colonies surrounded by a black halo.
