phototoxic dermatitis

phototoxic dermatitis
a type of actinic dermatitis in which there is an exaggerated sunburnlike reaction on light-exposed areas of the skin, sometimes with blistering, hyperpigmentation, and desquamation; it is the cutaneous manifestation of phototoxicity. Called also photodermatitis.
