nonbullous congenital ichthyosiform erythroderma
a genetically heterogeneous, autosomal recessive condition characterized by erythroderma and fine, white, semiadherent scales; other features include palmoplantar hyperkeratosis, nail dystrophy, and sparse hair. Most infants present as collodion babies.
