F-duction
F-duc·tion (ef-dukґshən) in bacterial genetics, the process whereby part of the bacterial chromosome is attached to the autonomous F factor (fertility factor) and thus is transferred with high frequency from the donor (male) bacterium to the recipient (female) bacterium. Called also sexduction.
