aspartate 4-decarboxylase
Aspartate β-decarboxylase; a carboxy-lyase converting l-aspartate to l-alanine (releasing CO2); it decarboxylates aminomalonate and (in bacteria) removes SO2 from cysteinesulfinate. SEE ALSO: desulfinase.
