fluvastatin sodium
flu·va·stat·in so·di·um (flooґvə-stat″in) [USP] an inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase, which can lower plasma levels of cholesterol and raise the plasma level of high-density lipoprotein C (HDL-C); used in the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and other forms of dyslipidemia and to slow the progression of atherosclerosis in patients with coronary heart disease; administered orally.
