Moeller glossitis


Moeller glossitis
a chronic condition of the tongue characterized by superficial excoriation, principally of the tip and edges. The lesions are beefy red, well-defined, irregular patches, in which the filiform papillae are thinned or absent and the fungiform papillae are swollen. Called also bald tongue and glossodynia exfoliativa.
