plasma kallikrein

plasma kallikrein
[EC 3.4.21.34] a plasma enzyme of the hydrolase class that cleaves HMW kininogen to produce bradykinin; it also activates blood coagulation factors XII and VII and plasminogen. It is formed from prekallikrein by activated coagulation factor XII.
