Legionella micdadei


Legionella micdadei
a species isolated from lung tissue, respiratory secretions, and pleural fluid, as well as from cooling-tower water, shower heads, tap water, and respiratory therapy equipment; it causes Pittsburgh pneumonia. Called also Pittsburgh pneumonia agent.
