gingival line

gingival line
1. a line determined by the level to which the gingiva extends on a tooth; although it tends to follow the curvature of the cervical line, the two rarely coincide. See also margo gingivalis. Called also gum l. 2. any linear mark visible on the surface of the gingiva, such as a copper line or lead line.
