chilblain lupus
chilblain lupus erythematosus a chronic unremitting form of lupus erythematosus, caused by microvascular injury secondary to cold exposure; the usual location is on the fingertips, nose, face, ears, hands, calves, or heels. Lesions may at first resemble chilblains or the lesions of lupus pernio, but they eventually assume the appearance of discoid lupus erythematosus. Sometimes this condition is called l. pernio.
