An antineoplastic antibiotic obtained from Streptomyces verticillus. Often produces pulmonary fibrosis.

[USP] a mixture of the sulfate salts of the components of bleomycin, especially that of bleomycin A2, used alone or in conjunction with other chemotherapeutic agents as an antineoplastic, particularly to treat testicular carcinoma, lymphomas, and various squamous cell carcinomas; administered intravenously, intramuscularly, intra-arterially, or subcutaneously.
