basilar artery migraine a type of ophthalmic migraine whose aura fills both visual fields and which may be accompanied by dysarthria and problems of equilibrium such as vertigo and incoordination; the symptoms are in the area supplied by the basilar and posterior cerebral arteries. Called also Bickerstaff m.
