[TA] adductor muscle of great toe (2 heads): origin, OBLIQUE HEAD—bases of second, third, and fourth metatarsals, and sheath of peroneus longus, TRANSVERSE HEAD—capsules of metatarsophalangeal joints of three lateral toes; insertion, lateral side of base of proximal phalanx of great toe; innervation, lateral plantar; action, adducts great toe.
