mycotoxic nephropathy
kidney damage in livestock, usually pigs, due to ochratoxins or citrinin contaminating their food, usually produced by Penicillium. Symptoms include edema around the kidneys with degeneration of proximal tubules, fibrosis, polyuria, and enlarged kidneys. Called also mycotic or mold nephrosis.
