nucleus fastigii
[TA] fastigial nucleus: the most medial of the cerebellar nuclei, near the midline in the roof of the fourth ventricle; it projects to the pons and medulla oblongata, chiefly to the vestibular nuclei. It is the term preferred in official terminology when considering humans, and is frequently also used to describe nonhuman primates. Cf. n. medialis cerebelli.
