juvenile osteoporosis
any of several rare types of osteoporosis seen in children and adolescents; they are usually due to an underlying medical condition such as juvenile idiopathic arthritis, diabetes mellitus, hyperparathyroidism, or a malabsorption syndrome, but some cases are idiopathic.
