eosinophilic prostatitis

eosinophilic prostatitis
a rare type of granulomatous prostatitis characterized by diffuse infiltration of the prostate by eosinophils, with fever, swelling of the gland, and foci of fibrinoid necrosis; it may superficially resemble carcinoma of the prostate. Since it is usually seen in patients with certain allergies, it is called also allergic p.
