radix sympathica ganglii ciliaris
[TA] sympathetic root of ciliary ganglion: postganglionic fibers from the superior cervical ganglion, derived from the internal carotid plexus, to the ciliary ganglion, for distribution by the short ciliary nerves to the dilator muscle of the pupil, orbital muscle and tarsal muscles, and blood vessels of the eyeball.
