[TA] posterior branches of cervical nerves: branches of the eight cervical spinal nerves, further subdividing into lateral and medial branches (see r. lateralis rami posterior nervi cervicalis and r. medialis rami posterior nervi cervicalis). See illustration at ramus posterior nervi spinalis. Called also rami dorsales nervorum cervicalium [TA alternative].
