Ashworth Scale

Ashworth Scale
a scale to assess the severity of spasticity of a part, now modified and used most commonly as the Modified Ashworth Scale; it measures the increase in tone as the muscle is stretched and assigns numbers from 0 (no increase in tone) to 4 (complete rigidity of the part on flexion or extension).
