segmentum arteriale anastomosis arteriovenosae glomeriformis
the arterial segment of the anastomosis arteriovenosa glomeriformis, which has a narrow lumen and a thick wall consisting of three to six layers of contractile glomus cells (pulvinar tunicae internae). Called also Sucquet-Hoyer anastomosis or canal.
