pulmonary strongyloidiasis
the stage of human strongyloidiasis in which the worms are in the lungs, causing coughing, wheezing, and dyspnea; it occasionally progresses to sepsis or meningitis that can be fatal. Initial invasion from the bloodstream into the alveoli may be accompanied by hemorrhage and hemoptysis.
