Lцffler syndrome
transient infiltrations and eosinophilia of the lungs, accompanied by cough, fever, and dyspnea; it may be idiopathic or due to infestation by parasites (particularly Ascaris lumbricoides), infection, or drug therapy. See also Ascaris pneumonitis, under pneumonitis. Called also Lцffler eosinophilia or pneumonia and simple pulmonary eosinophilia.
