nevoid basalioma syndrome an autosomal dominant syndrome characterized by the development in early life of numerous basal cell carcinomas, associated with abnormalities of the skin (especially an unusual erythematous pitting edema of the hands and feet), bones, nervous system, eyes, and reproductive tract. Called also basal cell nevus s., Gorlin s., and Gorlin-Goltz s.
