Synurophyceae

Synurophyceae
Syn·u·ro·phy·ce·ae (sin-u″ro-fiґse-e) a class of free-swimming, flagellate, ameboid, plantlike organisms, formerly considered part of the class Chrysophyceae. All of these organisms were formerly considered protozoa but are now assigned to the algae phylum Phaeophyta. The genus Synura in this group can be a water contaminant.
