hyperventilation test
(for Prinzmetal angina) the patient hyperventilates (breathes rapidly and deeply) for five minutes and an electrocardiogram is recorded before, during, and for ten minutes after this. Abnormal coronary vasoconstriction, demonstrated by ST segment changes, indicates Prinzmetal angina.
