hypoglossohyoid triangle
the triangular space in the subhyoid region, bounded superiorly by the hypoglossal nerve, anteriorly by the posterior border of the mylohyoid muscle, and posteriorly and inferiorly by the tendon of the digastric muscle. Called also Pinaud or Pirogoff t.
