truncus superior plexus brachialis
[TA] superior trunk of brachial plexus: the trunk of the brachial plexus that is formed by the anterior branches of the fifth and sixth cervical nerves. Its anterior division helps form the lateral cord of the plexus, its posterior division helps form the posterior cord, and it gives rise directly to the suprascapular and subclavian nerves; modality, general sensory and motor. Called also upper trunk of brachial plexus.
