hypopyon ulcer
a type of corneal ulcer with creeping central suppurative ulceration and hypopyon, often due to a pneumococcal infection. Called also Saemisch ulcer, serpiginous corneal ulcer, ulcus corneae serpens, and ulcus serpens corneae.
