[TA] common tendon sheath of peronei: the tendon sheath for the peroneus longus and brevis muscles; it is single proximally and double distally, and extends about 4 cm proximally and distally from the tip of the lateral malleolus. Called also v. communis musculorum peroneorum [TA alternative].
