H wave

H wave
1. a compound muscle action potential of consistently longer latency and smaller amplitude than the corresponding M wave; evoked primarily from extensor muscles, usually in the calf, and thought to be due to a spinal reflex (the H-reflex). It is evoked only by submaximal stimulation and disappears when the stimulation increases to the supramaximal level. 2. His bundle deflection.
